19 PETUA MENANGANI MASALAH GEMURUH KETIKA BERUCAP

Berikut adalah beberapa petua yang boleh kita ikuti bagi menangani masalah gemuruh ketika berucap ;
  1. Berdoa dan menarik nafas apabila hendak berucap
  2. Berpakaian mengikut suasana keselesaan
  3. Cari wajah audiens yang dapat membantu kita
  4. Wujudkan hubungan yang mesra dengan audiens
  5. Merujuk ataupun memberikan nota
  6. Mengalih tumpuan audiens
  7. Mengingati saat kejayaan hidup yang pernah dicapai
  8. Terima hakikat tiada manusia yang sempurna
  9. Lakukan pergerakan
  10. Berikan penumpuan terhadap ucapan kita
  11. Jangan asyik menyatakan sesuatu yang negatif kepada diri sendiri
  12. Bayangkan kita berjaya
  13. Menjaga kesihatan
  14. Tenangkan diri atau pun diamkan diri
  15. Ingatlah audiens juga seperti kita
  16. Tanyakan pada diri sendiri dengan soalan-soalan yang merangsang pemikiran positif
  17. Tidak berusaha untuk meniru pengucap lain
  18. Buat pengakuan
  19. Mengikuti kursus pengucapan awam

understanding STRESS

4 different types of stress, namely ;

  1. PHYSICAL STRESS - body tired and exhausted

  2. MENTAL STRESS - affects feeling, emotion, mood and behavior

  3. OXIDATIVE STRESS - imposed on the body by free radicals (pollution, UV radiation etc)

  4. METABOLIC STRESS - - suffering from illnesses (fever, sore throat, infection etc)

signs & symptoms of stress ;


  1. MOOD or BEHAVIORAL SIGNALS - depression, anger, overreactions, back pain, anxiety, muscular pain, sexual disorders, impatience, tiredness, overeating, doing several things at once, emotional outbursts, increased smoking, disturbed sleep patterns, headaches

  2. STRESS RELATED ILLNESSES - recurrent asthma attack, back pain, chronic stomach upset, headache, migraine, muscular ache & pain, skin rash, sexual disorder

WAYS OF REDUCING STRESS

  1. Plan your time well in order not to have too many controllable major changes

  2. Have a flexible attitude and be adaptable towards changes

  3. Try not to suppress grief and anguish

LEARNING from THE FROG and SCORPION

The story goes like this : A frog is looking to cross a river on a rainy day. As he is about to swim across, a scorpion comes up to him and asks, "Frog, can you give me a lift across the river ?. I can't swim and I need your help."

The frog replies, "You must be crazy. You are a scorpion !. You might sting me and I will die." The scorpion retorts, "Don't be foolish !. If I sting you and you die, I will drown." Upon hearing this, the frog agree s to help him.

Halfway across the river, the scorpion stings and paralyzes the frog. As the frog begins to sink, he asks the scorpion why he broke his promise. The scorpion replies, "Frog, I know it's foolish of me to sting you, but I have a problem. You see, I'm a scorpion and I'm born to sting. I can't change.
