understanding STRESS

4 different types of stress, namely ;

  1. PHYSICAL STRESS - body tired and exhausted

  2. MENTAL STRESS - affects feeling, emotion, mood and behavior

  3. OXIDATIVE STRESS - imposed on the body by free radicals (pollution, UV radiation etc)

  4. METABOLIC STRESS - - suffering from illnesses (fever, sore throat, infection etc)

signs & symptoms of stress ;


  1. MOOD or BEHAVIORAL SIGNALS - depression, anger, overreactions, back pain, anxiety, muscular pain, sexual disorders, impatience, tiredness, overeating, doing several things at once, emotional outbursts, increased smoking, disturbed sleep patterns, headaches

  2. STRESS RELATED ILLNESSES - recurrent asthma attack, back pain, chronic stomach upset, headache, migraine, muscular ache & pain, skin rash, sexual disorder

WAYS OF REDUCING STRESS

  1. Plan your time well in order not to have too many controllable major changes

  2. Have a flexible attitude and be adaptable towards changes

  3. Try not to suppress grief and anguish

  4. TO EXERCISE REGULARLY

  5. RELAXATION

  6. GET ENOUGH SLEEP

  7. THE STRESS FREE DIET

  8. DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS
